Agratas (Tata) Cell Gigafactory in India. Another one will be in Europe somewhere.
Agratas will focus on whole supply chain including repurposing & recycling.
What's interesting is that they project 40GWh+ for JLR & 20GWh+ for Tata Motors. We are guessing it doesn't include Buses/Trucks. Agratas also wants to supply to 2w/3w & energy storage(tata power?) as well.
Tata seems to have developed(self or with gotion or someone else?) a unified cell for Tata & JLR. Format to be long prismatic. Tata will be making LFP as well as NMC. Would love to know their energy density.
Tata seems to want to focus on every possible cell/battery variant that can be. Most interesting(apart from NMC) is LMFP & sodium ion.
Cell factory layout is very interesting. It's modular. 6 lines ~8GWh.
JLR will be taking cells from Agratas
This is interesting. They are stating that currently 84kWh Pouch LG chem battery in I-Pace takes 387L (217.05 Wh/L). While with new cell-to-pack (of Agartas?) 120kWh will take 342L (350.88 Wh/L)
